I didn't even notice that book 2, in Kristen Sellecks Birch Harbor Series, wasn't ladled down with spooks and specters. I find I'm not even disappointed with the lack of paranormal events as the author caught me up in the characters lives and what was going to happen next between Chloe and Seth. What was happening with Mike, Sam, and the interesting Dr. Willard. Ah, please don't let Dr. Willard be a bad guy!! I've really taken a liken to him!Great story!!

Just finished reading Abraham's Men Birch Harbor Series, Vol.2, and was blown away! I had read "Asylum" (Vol. 1) last summer because it was free on my , and I wanted to know what came next. Both books flowed well, and they were not full of incorrect grammar and typos like some books for are want to be. This second book in the series kept me on the edge of my seat, and with a huge cliffhanger at the end, it will keep me avidly awaiting the next book! Thank you, Kristen Selleck for another great book on the paranormal!
I read the first in the series and couldn't wait to get my hands on this one.. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because while this was a great story, I did feel this book dragged a bit. Regardless, I will be reading the next in the series when it becomes available.
I do think that if you Liked Asylum, this is definitely worth your time
I seriously got hooked on the entire Birch Harbor series. I couldn't put the books down once I got started. After finishing the series, I searched for others by this writer. I was sad to not find any others, but I was able to find her on Facebook, and now patiently waiting on the next series.
This picks up right where the first book left off. The biggest difference is that I feel I could have read the 1st and been satisfied that I had a complete story. The end to this one left me saying "WHAT". While I was planning on reading the 3rd book I feel like I have to. Personally I would have preferred a book twice as long if it meant having a complete story within the bigger story. All in all if you're going to read the series anyway you need to read this one. I am definitely "involved" and reading through these quickly.

I was really looking forward to reading Abraham's Men as I had just finished the first book in the series. I found the story developing easily, and the characters are all well established. There is a delicious tension that builds as the main character goes to London and gets ever closer to the truth she seeks. My only criticisms would stem from the screeching halt the story comes to. I am all for a cliffhanger but I felt like the story was just getting good, I turn the page and finds the acknowledgements. I also found the number of typos very distracting. Goodness, where was the proofreader? I will be reading book 3 as I am not one to put a good story down, but I hope there will be more of a plot development.
